My friend is a State Govt. Employee (West Bengal). He intends to take V.R.S next year when he completes 15 years of service. What monetary facilities shall he get, if any. Can he join any other service under State Govt. after that but in a different department. Please provide same information, in the case of resignation from service also. What are the process involved?
No benefit of VRS would be admissible as the qualifying service of VRS is less than 20 years in this case.
He will not get any monetary benefit after resignation. But to avoid disciplinary action he must serve a notice before resignation; it may be 1 month or 3 months depending upon the service and such resignation shall not result in the lapse of leave at his credit.
