Free ITI Courses, 2014-15 for Minority Communities
WBMDFC in collaboration with a number of ITCs [as per list mentioned in Annexure-A1 given in website www.wbmdfc.org] are going to organise free ITI Courses for economically backward students of Minority Communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Parsee, Buddhist & Jain) in trades – (1) Electrician (2) Fitter (3) Instrument Mechanic (4) Welder (5) Surveyor, in states of West Bengal & Orissa.
The entire course fee (for the duration of 2 years or 1 year as per the requirements of the course) will be borne by WBMDFC. Besides this, student will be paid Maintenance Allowance @3800/-per year. Students will have to make their own lodging and boarding arrangement near the place of college if the hostel facility is not available there. For availing hostel facilities students will have to pay to college authorities extra.
Eligibility Criteria:
(a) Family income should not be more than Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
(b) Minimum qualification required for admission is Madhyamik or equivalent and marks in aggregate should be minimum 50%.
(c) Age should be between 15 to 35 years as on 1.8.2014
(d) After admission to college students will have to apply on-line to www.momascholarship.gov.in for Post Matric Scholarship, hard copy of which will be endorsed by the ITC’s Principal to WBMDFC. The last date for on-line application is 15-09-2014.
(e) Only male candidates are eligible.
(f) No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview/counselling/admission at WBMDFC and colleges.
The eligible and willing candidates are advised to appear in a walk-in-interview with the application in prescribed format which may be downloaded from our website www.wbmdfc.org
The walk-in-interview [for counselling for provisional selection for admission to ITC colleges*] will be held district wise at WBMDFC, DD-27/E, Sector-I, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700 064 as per the schedule given below:
