Amar Fasal, Amar Gola and Amar Fasal Amar Gari Scheme

The Government of West Bengal has launched a pilot initiative aimed at helping marginal farmers build small storage units and buy vending carts for selling their produce. The project seeks to empower farmers by enabling them to store and market their crops independently.

Under this plan, a subsidy ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 will be granted for the construction of warehouses. Although there are nearly 24 lakh small and marginal farmers across the State, the pilot phase will initially benefit about 10,000 farmers through two new schemes.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has titled these schemes “Amar Fasal, Amar Gola” (My Crop, My Storehouse) and “Amar Fasal, Amar Gari” (My Crop, My Vehicle).

  • Amar Fasal, Amar Gola: Beneficiaries can receive subsidies of ₹5,000 for a Kancha Gola (basic storehouse), ₹12,000 for an Improved Gola, and ₹25,000 for an Onion Storage Structure.
  • Amar Fasal, Amar Gari: A flat ₹10,000 subsidy will be offered to eligible farmers for purchasing a rickshaw van, helping them transport and directly sell their produce to consumers.

The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts linked with their Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), ensuring transparency and ease of access.
