Cash Handling Allowance as Additional Remuneration

Subject: Grant of cash-allowance as additional remuneration for handling cash additionally.
Consequent upon the recommendation of the Fifth pay Commission relating to sanction of cash allowance to the State Government employees who are to handle cash in addition to their normal duties, the Governor has been pleased to decide that the Senior Accounts Clerks or the Divisional Offices posted in the public works Departments and performing duties of handling cash may be allowed additional remuneration at the rate indicated below:

| Upto Rs. 75,000/- p.m. | Rs. 100/- |
| Above Rs. 75,000/- but upto Rs. 2.0 Lakh | Rs. 150/- |
| Above Rs. 2.0 Lakh | Rs. 200/- |
2. The above amount of additional remuneration will not be admissible to the employees designated as Cashier-cum-Store Keeper etc. This will be admissible in terms of rule 5(33)(b) of the West Bengal Service Rules, Part – I.
