Certified Copy of Evaluated Answer Script of HS Exam under RTI

The candidate has to apply as per the stipulated norms of application under RTI Act, 2005 within 100 days from the date of publication of H.S Result of that year to the concerned SPIO.

CIRCULAR

This is to notify that as per R.T.I Act, 2005 and the Order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India (CIVIL APPEAL No. 6454 of 2011 arising out of SLP [C] No. 7526/2009) a candidate of Higher Secondary Examination under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is entitled for inspection and/or having a certified copy of his/her answer-script of the Higher Secondary Examination of that particular year.

For this purpose the candidate has to apply as per the stipulated norms of application under RTI Act, 2005 within 100 days from the date of publication of H.S Result of that year to the concerned S.P.I.O. (State Public Information Officer-Deputy Secretary of the Regional Offices).

On receipt of the acknowledgment letter from the concerned Regional Office, the candidate has to deposit a fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred) only per answer-script through Bank Draft/Pay Order drawn on any Nationalised Bank of India in favour of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education payable at Kolkata (for Kolkata Region)/ Burdwan (for Burdwan Region)/Midnapore (for Midnapore Region)/ Siliguri (for North Bengal Region) to the Cash Counter of the concerned Regional Office towards processing charges.

Students who belong to BPL category will be exempted from submission of this fee on production of authenticated certificate.

Students applied for certified copy of evaluated answer script under the provision of RTI Act prior to PPS/PPR, will not be eligible for applying PPS/PPR. However, students may apply for evaluated answer script under the provision of RTI Act after the result of PPS/PPR is declared but within the 100 days from the date of publication of result of H.S. Examination.

This will come into effect from 2012.

For 2011, the last date of application under RTI Act is 3rd December, 2011. Other terms and conditions mentioned above will remain same for 2011.
