MEMORANDUM
Sub: Grant of Children Education Allowance in favour of the composite cadre of Divisional Accountant.
Subsequent to recommendation of 7th Central Pay Commission regarding grant of Children Education Allowance. Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), West Bengal issued circular vide NO. PAGAEWB/03/57/08/WM/2021-22/20 dated 30.04.2021 regarding eligibility of the members of Divisional Accountant Cadre viz. Senior Divisional Accounts Officer, Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-I, Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-ll and Divisional Accountant, posted in various Public Works Divisions in West Bengal towards getting the benefits of Children Education Allowance in the revised rate stipulated in the notification No. A-27012/02/2017-Estt.(AL) dated 16.08.2017 of Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, P.G. and Pension. Department of Personnel & Training.
In view of the above, the Governor is pleased to allow the members of Divisional Accountant Cadre viz Senior Divisional Accounts Officer, Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-I, Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-ll and Divisional Accountant, posted in various Public Works Divisions in West Bengal the benefit of Children Education Allowance in the revised rate stipulated under the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission vide notification No. A-27012/02/2017-Estt.(AL) dated 16.08.2017.
The expenditure may be debited from the sub-head 07-other allowance of the respective salary Head of Account.
This issues with the concurrence of Finance (Audit) Department, Group P2 under their U.O. No.Group P2/2021-2022/0340 dated 18.11.2021.
