Subject: Closure of Schools due to prevailing heat wave
The undersigned is directed to notify all concerned that in compliance to order no. 03/SECY/23, dtd.16/04/23 issued by School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal, all Schools with the exception of those in hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts, are hereby closed due to prevailing heat wave situation with effect from 17th April, 2023 for one week or until further order whichever is earlier. Schools shall make suitable arrangements for conducting extra classes after re-opening of the schools to makeup the loss due to closure of schools, in the interest of the students.
However teaching & non-teaching staff of schools shall extend their assistance as and when required by respective HOIs to comply with work related to MP (SE) 2023, admission, various state scholarships etc. in the interest of the students.
