ORDER
It has been observed that a pre-approved committee formed as per Order No. 955-W(C)/1M-241/14 dated 19.12.2014 is now playing an important role for fixing up the rates of maintenance of high ended electro-mechanical equipments like lifts, air Conditioning parts, IT controlling equipments containing microprocessor based controlling equipments etc.
Now, it is felt necessary to include the Chief Engineer, Electrical/ Chief Engineer, Electrical Planning concerned for purpose of vetting estimate for electrical works which are being done by the officers of electrical wing, P.W.D depending upon their power of vetting in terms of Circular No. 1M-03/16/382-R/PL dated 01.03.2019 read with Circular No. 1M-03/16/844-R/PL dated 04.07.2019 and also the concerned Superintending Engineer for fixing the rates of any non-scheduled items.
After careful consideration of the above matter, the undersigned is directed by the Governor to say that the Governor is pleased to form a committee comprising of the following Officers for fixing up the rates of such maintenance contracts alongwith necessary terms and conditions:
- Chief Engineer, Electrical/ Chief Engineer, Electrical Planning, P.W. Directorate – Chairman for the Zone concerned as per their jurisdiction.
- Additional Chief Engineer, Electrical/ Assistant Chief Engineer, Electrical in the office of the Chief Engineer, Electrical concerned or in the office of the Zonal Chief Engineer – Member.
- Superintending Engineer of the Circle concerned – Member.
- Executive Engineer of the Division concerned – Member
- Divisional Accounts Officer/ Accountant of the Electrical Division concerned – Member.
Moreover, in case of industrial electronics products, Chief Engineer in charge of IT works shall be the Chairman of the Committee as per jurisdiction vide Order No. 501-W(C)/1M-491/19 dated 03.07.2019.
This will take immediate effect.
