NOTIFICATION

The Governor is pleased in the interest of Public Service to sanction creation of the following posts as mentioned at Col. No. 2 below in the Pay Band Scale with Grade Pay as indicated against each post at Col. No. 4 for the Offices/ Establishments as mentioned at Col. No. 5 below subject to the condition that the posts, so created, shall be filled up in accordance with the existing recruitment rules and procedure for the said posts:-

2. The above posts as mentioned at Sl. No. 1 to 10 above have been created by abolition of all vacant posts of Gang Mazdoor, Road Mazdoor and Road Mate under P.W. Dte. & P.W. (Roads) Dte., w.e.f. 1st November, 2019.

3. The appointing authority for the posts, so created, from Sl. No. 1 to 8 above will be the Governor of West Bengal; the appointing authority for the post, so created in Sl. No. 09 is the competent authority in the Accountant General, West Bengal and that for the post, so created in Sl. No. 10 is the competent authority in the Finance Department, West Bengal.

4. The expenditure on account of Pay and Allowances for the posts so created under P.W. Dte., will be debit able under the Head of Account, “2059-Public Works etc.” and the posts under P.W. (Roads) Dte. will be debitable under the Head of Account, “3054-Roads and Bridges etc.” under Demand No. 25 from the budget of the Public Works Department.

5. This has the concurrence of the Finance Deptt., vide their UO No. 1663 of Gr.-P2 dt. 22.11.2019 and approval of the State Cabinet communicated vide Cabinet Sectt. U/O No. CAB(D)-1463 dt. 27-11-2019.
