Delay in Submission of Medical Reimbursement Claim

Memorandum
As per existing norms, Government Employees/ Pensioners/ Family Pensioners are required to submit their reimbursement claim for both OPD and Indoor treatment under WBHS’2008 now called as West Bengal Health for All Employees and Pensioners Cashless Medical Treatment Scheme’2014 within three months from the date of consultation/ discharge.
In case of delay in submission of reimbursement claim by the Government Employees/ Pensioners/ Family Pensioners to their respective authority beyond three months from the date of discharge in case of Indoor treatment, Head of concerned administrative Department may condone the cases beyond three months but within one year on reasonable ground as laid down in F.D. Memo No. 1040-F (MED)/WB/FA/MED/O/2M-958/2016 Dated 01.12.2016.
The governor is now pleased to order that Head of the Administrative Department of the concerned government employee/ government pensioner including family pensioner may condone the cases related to delay in submission of reimbursement claim of OPD treatment beyond three months from the date of consultation but within one year from the date of the said consultation on reasonable ground.
But for condonation of delay beyond one year for both Indoor and OPD cases, proposal is to be submitted through the administrative department before the West Bengal Health Scheme Authority in the Medical Cell under Finance Department.
