The Accountant General / Principal Accountants General are the representative of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India who is a Constitutional Authority.
During the scrutiny of pension cases received from different Pension sanctioning Authorities (PSA) it is noticed that some of the cases are being sent under the signature of PSA but without proper stamp/ seal.
Board is constituted comprising of i) Sr. Accounts Officer/ Accounts Officer (Administration), ii) Secretary to the Accountant General and iii) Internal Audit Officer.
Application for final payment should be submitted in proper form in due time prescribed by the government. (Form 10A where the subscriber is alive and Form 10B in case of death of a subscriber).
Governor is pleased to decide that the physical submission of certain category of Salary bills and monthly Pension bills to AGWB shall be discontinued for the month of May, 2025 onwards.
Final Payment of General Provident Fund (GPF) in respect of employees promoted from Group D to Group C who do not have any GPF Account No. issued by Accountant General, West Bengal (AGWB) at the time when the Final Payment becomes due.
On 18th September, 2018, Principal Accountant General (A & E), West Bengal office is going to organise ‘Pension Adalat’ in the Treasury Buildings Institute Hall from 11 A.M.
Governor is pleased to direct that State Pensioners shall be transferred from AGWB to the Pension Disbursement Cell or Treasuries or Public Sector Banks.
