Backward Classes Welfare (Anagrasar Kalyan) Department works for social, economic and cultural development of the people belonging to SC, ST, OBC in West Bengal.
A certificate is to be issued by all the Head of the Institutions, that all the eligible SC/ST students of classes V to VIII of his/her school for the year 2014-15 are not left out in Awardee-list.
The district authorities have been requested to adopt camp approach in all the schools, colleges and educational institutions for issuance of caste certificates so that no student is deprived of scholarship for want of caste certificate.
