The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.

Grant of Ad-hoc Bonus to State Government Employees, 2020-21

State Government employees whose revised emoluments did not exceed Rs. 36,000/- per month as on 31st March, 2021, will be entitled to ad-hoc bonus for the accounting year 2020-2021 at the rate of Rs. 4,500/- per head.

Interest Rate on General Provident Fund (01.04.2021 to 30.06.2021)

Governor is pleased to decide that during the period from 01.04.2021 to 30.06.2021, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1% per annum.

Last Date of Submission of Self Appraisal Report, 2020-21

Extension of the period for submission and evaluation/ acceptance of online SAR by Officer Reported Upon and Reporting Authority/ Reviewing Authority/ Accepting Authority respectively in HRMS for the Appraisal Year 2020-21.

Last Date of Submission of Asset Declaration due to COVID situation

last date of submission of Declaration of Assets in respect of officers and staff belonging to Group-A, B and C is hereby extended up to 30th June, 2021. Other stipulations for submission of such declaration shall remain unchanged.

Emergency Procurement related to COVID-19 Operation

In view of the urgency involved in the procurement of certain critical medical and other essential supplies in the wake of the present scenario caused by the pandemic, it has now been decided to extend the relaxed procurement guidelines for a period of two (2) months with effect from 01.04.2021 to 31.05.2021.

Drawal of Bills in Anticipation of Allotment of Fund for Financial Year, 2021-22

State Government has decided to allow acceptance of the following categories of bills by Treasuries/ PAOs in anticipation of allotment of fund for the period from 01.04.2021 to 30.06.2021 in the next financial year 2021-22.

Schedule of General Election to West Bengal Legislative Assembly, 2021

All Government Offices, Organizations under it, Undertakings, Corporations, Boards, Statutory and Local Bodies, Educational Institutions etc. situated within the Assembly Constituency will remain closed on the respective dates so that every employee is able to exercise his/her right to franchise in the election.

Certain Items of Expenditure Exempted from Registration

Procurement of spare parts and other essential service support like Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)/ Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (CMC), including consumables for closed systems, from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or their authorized agents, shall be exempted.
