The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.

Governor has been pleased to direct that henceforth no engagement of work-charged staff under any Department shall be made without prior approval of Finance Department.
Rate of tax on goods like Marble, Granite, Plywood, Ceramic flooring blocks, Glass, Electrical panel boards etc. have been reduced from 28% to 18% w.e.f. 15.11.2017.
Physical attendance will be allowed exclusively to those employees who have joined the Department on promotion or transfer, to Gr.H, Nabanna, till their posting to Cell/Branch and the Reserve Pool of Stenographers.
Gr. D employees, who are attached to office where there is no post of duplicating machine operator and are operating the same in addition to their normal duties will get additional remuneration @ Rs. 80/- per month.
