Food & Supplies Directorate is mainly responsible for availability and distribution of foodgrains and other essential commodities to the valid ration Card holders.
West Bengal Urban Public Distribution System (Maintenance and Control) Order, 2013 published vide No. 2371-FS dated 12.08.2013, Department of Food and Supplies.
Godown within the radius of 20 kilometer of the vacancy area may also be accepted subject to the condition that the prospective wholesaler, shall give an undertaking that he shall not claim transport rebate for more than 8 kilometer.
e-Ration Card facility is available to those beneficiaries who have seeded Aadhaar numbers of all their family members who have Ration Cards. e-Ration Card Number and Digital Ration Card No. will remain same.
