Counting of Past Service rendered by University Employees
He/ She shall be serving as on regular basis in approved and /or substantial post and /or regular in nature in any of the aforementioned institutions continuously and satisfactorily prior to such movement to State Aided University.

Reservation in Admission to Higher Educational Institutions
For OBC-A (10%) and OBC-B (7%) seats, implementation will be done over a six year period and the exercise has already commenced from the Academic year 2014-15.

Abolition of Posts (Not Sanctioned) in Government aided Colleges
All such post/ engagement and in particular the post of Vice Principal in any college as mentioned be abolished forthwith excepting in recognized minority colleges.

Modification in Reservation Rules of EWS in Admission
The District Magistrate and the District Reservation Commissioner shall be the authority in respect of Higher Educational Institutions within their administrative jurisdiction for approval of filling up of the unfilled reserved seats for Economically Weaker Sections.

International Mother Language Day, 2012
The Govt. of West Bengal decided to celebrate International Mother Language Day on 21st of February, 2012. In 1952, on 21st February, four students of Bangaldesh were killed for campaigning the use of Bengali as official language.
