State Government in the Higher Education Department has decided to prescribe the following qualifications and norms for recruitment to the post of Principal in Government-aided/ affiliated Degree Colleges.
Selection of candidates for TFW Scheme shall be decided on the basis of merit and preference of eligible students in the State Joint Entrance Examination.
Prescribed Qualifications for Recruitment to the Post of Assistant Professor in Government-aided Teachers’ Training Colleges and Teachers’ Training Department of General Degree Colleges.
The method of and qualifications required for recruitment to the posts of Principal and Lecturer in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), under the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
Revision of Pay and Allowances for the (i) Non-teaching employees of state aided Non. Govt. Colleges including erstwhile sponsored colleges and Day students’ Homes employees. (ii) Employees of the West Bengal College Service Commission.
Granting HRA to an employee of a Sponsored/ Aided Educational Institution, whose spouse is working in a private organisation, where HRA is allowed as a separate element.
(i) Leaves like casual leave, medical leave, maternity leave, study leave and (ii) Swasthya Sathi Scheme which had earlier been enjoyed by the erstwhile Government approved Part Time Teachers, Contractual Whole Time Teachers.
Students residing in West Bengal above 10 years. Loan will be available for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral study in India or abroad. Students till the age of 40 years of age are eligible for the scheme.
Reservation of seats shall not exceed 45% (SC-22%, ST-6%, OBC-A-10% & OBC-B-7%). Persons with disabilities will enjoy a 3% reservation in each of the categories.
