Home and Hill Affairs Department was established to operate and control the Administration within the State. The management of its personnel & administration for maintenance of security and revenue collection was its operative part.

  • Commission of Inquiry for Sharadha Group of Companies

    Governor is pleased to appoint a Commission of Inquiry consisting of Honble Justice Mr. Shyamal Kumar Sen for Sharadha Group of Companies to inquire into the methodology and means adopted by the said Group of Companies and such other companies involved in similar activities in the State of West Bengal.

  • Stipulated Time Limit for rendering Services by Home and Hill Affairs

    Governor is pleased to notify the services pertaining to the Home and Hill Affairs Department including W.B. Police Directorate & Kolkata Police Commissionerate under control of the Home and Hill Affairs Department along with the stipulated time limit for rendering the services.

    To depute plain clothed female police officers in the precincts of bus-stands and stops, railway stations, metro stations, cinema theatres, shopping malls, parks, beaches, public service vehicles, places of worship etc. so as to monitor and supervise incidents of eve-teasing;

    Lockdown in West Bengal will be effective from 6 AM of Sunday 16th May 2021 to 6 PM of Sunday 30th May 2021, in public and collective interest due to COVID-19 pandemic situation prevailing in the State.
