Home and Hill Affairs Department was established to operate and control the Administration within the State. The management of its personnel & administration for maintenance of security and revenue collection was its operative part.

  • West Bengal Rules of Business – BCW Department

    All matters related to the welfare and development of the Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes including provision of funds; sub-plan. Constitutional matters relating to the Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes.

  • Strike related Government Order from Home Department

    Attempts at forcible closure of government offices, shops, markets, educational institutions, industrial establishments, etc should be firmly dealt with. All state government offices will remain open on those days and all government employees should report for duty.

    ALL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO VIOLATION OF LAW AND ORDER AND THAT NO UNTOWARD INCIDENT TAKES PLACE. ATTEMPTS AT FORCIBLE CLOSURE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICES, SHOPS, MARKETS, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS, ETC SHOULD BE FIRMLY DEALT WITH.

  • Protection of Children from Sexual Offences

    To provide for the protection of children from the offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography, while safeguarding the interests of the child at every stage of the judicial process by incorporating child-friendly mechanisms for reporting, recording of evidence, investigation and speedy trial of offences through designated Special Courts.

    This hand book has been prepared to help the Members in the discharge of their Parliamentary duties. It contains information about the functioning of the Legislature and its Committees and a brief account of the procedure that is followed in the House.
