To ensure proper use of the National Emblem by all concerned, in keeping with the provisions contained in State Emblem of India (Provisions of Improper Use) Act, 2005.

Home and Hill Affairs Department was established to operate and control the Administration within the State. The management of its personnel & administration for maintenance of security and revenue collection was its operative part.
To ensure proper use of the National Emblem by all concerned, in keeping with the provisions contained in State Emblem of India (Provisions of Improper Use) Act, 2005.
Attempts at forcible closure of government offices, shops, markets, educational institutions, industrial establishments, etc should be firmly dealt with. All state government offices will remain open on those days and all government employees should report for duty.
National Emblem without ‘Satyameva Jayate’ should not be used by the department or that the said Emblem can not be used at a place where the said office or the authority has no right to use it.
Marriage related functions shall be allowed with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50% seating capacity of the hall/ venue, whichever is lower.
Generally speaking, number of invitees to marriages and other familial gatherings should be restricted to minimum possible number and at no point of time should there be congregations of more than 50 persons in any ceremony.

Restriction measures stand extended upto 15th August 2021 according to the provisions of West Bengal Epidemic Disease, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020.

It is ordered to shut all restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, night clubs, Hookah Bars, massage parlours, amusement parks, museums, zoos with effect from 0600 hours of 22.03.2020.
