Public holiday on Poll Days of Parliamentary Election, 2014

In view of the Parliamentary Election-2014 to be held on 17th, 24th, 30th April 2014, 7th & 12th May, 2014 in the different Parliamentary Constituencies and simultaneous Bye-election to 6 (six) Assembly Constituencies in this State, the Government has declared the said days as public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

House Owners checkpoints to Let/ Sublet/ Rent Accommodation

No land-lord/ owner/ person shall let/ sublet/ rent out any accommodation to any person unless and until he/she has furnished the particulars of the said tenant(s) as per Proforma in Schedule-II to the Officer-in-charge of the Police Station.

Prohibition on Assembly of Five or More Person

The Commissioner of Police, Kolkata has prohibited for a period of 60 days from 14th March, 2014 to 12th May, 2014 until further order, any assembly of five or more persons or procession.
