Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department (MAMED) works for the development and welfare of minorities to ensure protection of rights and provide opportunities for growth.
WBMDFC invites online applications for Scholarship from meritorious students belonging to Minority Community who are pursuing Higher Secondary course or Under Graduate/ Post Graduate courses under recognized Boards/Universities of West Bengal and other recognized Boards/Universities of other states of India.
Haji Mohd Mohsin Scholarship is awarded to Muslim meritorious students of West Bengal each year. The amount is Rs. 20,000/- at a time. Scholarship is awarded to 75 Nos. of candidates.
For Meritorious students belonging to Minority Communities who are pursuing Technical/ Professional Courses at Under Graduate/ Post Graduate Level.
WBMDFC invites applications for Scholarship from meritorious students belonging to Minority Community. The students of Government or Private recognized schools from class I to X, including hostellers are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Registration Certificate for Fazil – XI may be collected from the Board Office by the Madrasah authority on and from 25.03.2022.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the High Madrasah, Alim and Fazil Examinations of the Board has been scheduled to be held in the month of June, 2021 in lieu of the month of February. Considering the above changes the list of holidays for the academic session 2021 needs to be adjusted accordingly.
Madrasahs shall have to observe a uniform list of holidays for the year 2017. The maximum numbers of holidays for this academic session will be 65 days.
WBMDFC invites applications for Education Loan for the year 2016-17 from students belonging to Minority Communities. Last Date of submission is 31.10.2016.
An Act to constitute a Minorities’ Commission to study and suggest additional social, economic, educational and cultural requirements of religious and linguistic minorities of West Bengal with a view to equipping them to preserve secular traditions of West Bengal and to promote national integration.
