Public Works Department provides infrastructural support for both original and repair works to all the departments directly under the Govt. of West Bengal.
Governor is pleased to re-constitute the Selection Committee/ Departmental Promotion Committee for the purpose of allowing promotion to the post of Chief Engineer/ Sr. Superintending Engineer under Public Works Department of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Wings and Chief Government Architect, PWD
Governor has already been pleased to create 22 numbers of additional posts of Superintending Engineers belonging to the Engineering Cadre under the administrative control of this Department.
Governor has already been pleased to create 21 numbers additional posts of Senior Superintending Engineers and also to convert existing 41numbers of non-functional berth of Superintending Engineer [Selection Grade] into the post of Senior Superintending Engineers.
Governor is pleased to introduce the facility for submission of Annual Declaration of Assets through on-line mode starting with the year 2024 i.e. Declaration of Assets as stood on 01.01.2025.
Proforma of Service Particulars for awarding of First/ Second/ Third MCAS benefit or Service Confirmation in favour of Junior Engineer/ Assistant Engineer/ Executive Engineer under PWD.
The respective EEs in charge of the bungalows to provide the necessary facilities & services presently available, to the visitors who would be availing the accommodation facility through online booking system.
The main objective of energy saving is to ensure sufficient power for us, our next generation as well as to ensure demand side management, leading to economization of resources.
To switch from the offline to online mode of submission of Declaration of Assets, preparation of a data base of the officers as per the proforma supplied by the P&AR Department is a mandatory requirement.
Governor is further pleased to apportion the said additional post of Engineer-in-Chief & Exofficio Secretary into the cadre of West Bengal Engineering Service under Public Works Department.
Integrity Clearance Certificate/ Vigilance Clearance in r/o all Engineering Officers from Junior Engineer to Chief Engineer will be issued by the Designated Vigilance Officer of the Department after obtaining the approval from the C.C.A. & Disciplinary Authority.
