To ensure universalization of Primary, Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and to ensure quality education for Human Resource Development.
No Council shall appoint teachers in primary schools within its jurisdiction beyond the number of teacher sanctioned by the State Government for the district or the subdivision as per West Bengal Primary School Teachers Recruitment Rules 2001.
The concerned DI of schools or his representatives will have to verify the Treasury Challan as mentioned under SL. 9 of the TR Form -7 in case any school authority approaches them for such verification in the TR challan.
Governor has been pleased to accord approval for an yearly enhancement of remuneration @ 3% in respect of Para teachers and other categories of personnel engaged under SSM, SSK and MSK teachers who have been brought under School Education Department in the recent past.
Teacher Eligibility Test (Primary) will be held on Sunday, the 30th March, 2014 in terms of Memo No. 146-SE dated 06.02.2014 of School Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
The applicants shall have to pay Rs. 100/- only (Rs. 25/- for SC/ST) to all the Bank Branches of United Bank of India by cash only. The candidates must keep the counter foil of the bank challan with the Transaction Id no. for obtaining admit cards.
In conformity with the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, Government of West Bengal in School Education Department has decided to include class V in all primary schools of West Bengal in phased manner.
West Bengal Primary Education (Transfer of Teachers including Head Teacher) Rules, 2002 shall apply to Teachers incl. Head Teachers for the purpose of transfer from one primary school to another within the jurisdiction of a Council.
A teacher appointed prior to 03.09.2001 i.e. the date on which the NCTE Regulations, 2001 came into force will be guided by the prevalent Recruitment Rules of the State Government. Such teachers need not have to upgrade their academic qualifications nor have to acquire teacher training qualification.
CCL for regular female teaching and non-teaching employees of Government sponsored/ Non-Govt. aided Schools, Boards, District Primary School Councils, School Service Commission as well as Panchayat Raj and other Local Bodies, Undertakings, Corporations, Statutory Bodies etc.
Teachers appointed from 01.01.2006 onwards should possess at least 50% marks in H.S. Examination or equivalent and 2 years Diploma in Teacher Training Course (D. El. Ed.); or should be Graduate from recognised University.
