Government may make necessary arrangement for providing free pre-school education for all children until they complete the age of six years to provide early childhood care and education.
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has notified about the age for admission in School to appropriate Class as per definition in West Bengal Right of Children to Free & Compulsory Education Rules, 2012.
West Bengal Primary Education (Teachers and Employees Death cum Retirement Benefit) Rules, 2008 applicable for approved teaching and non teaching staff of the Govt. or Govt. Aided or Sponsored Training Institutions.
It is notified for all concerned that the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination), 2026 will be held as per the following programme.
Teachers appointed from 01.01.2006 onwards should possess at least 50% marks in H.S. Examination or equivalent and 2 years Diploma in Teacher Training Course (D. El. Ed.); or should be Graduate from recognised University.
These rules may be called the West Bengal School Service Commission (Selection for Appointment to the Posts of Teachers for Upper Primary Level of Schools) Rules, 2016.
SI/S will call all concerned student beneficiaries through respective HoI with all original records for verification of bank accounts.

No Council shall appoint Special Education Teacher in primary schools within its jurisdiction beyond the number of teachers sanctioned by the State Government for the district or the sub-division.
