e-Tender is Mandatory for Companies and Parastatals

MEMORANDUM
In terms of FD notification no. 6932-F(Y) dt. 29.8.13 tender valued at and above Rs. 5 lakh has to be done through e-tender in the State Government portal of https://wbtenders.gov.in. In Finance Department memo no. 1160-F(Y) dt. 28.2.14 read with No. 3060-F(Y) dt. 11.6.14 e-tender through the State Government e-tender portal of https://wbtenders.gov.in was made mandatory and certain measures including stoppage of releasing of fund to those violating the prescribed e-tender procedure were suggested.
2. It is now clarified that the orders are applicable in case of the tenders of parastatals, i.e. Panchayats, Municipalities, and municipal corporations, Statutory bodies like Development Authorities, Cooperatives and Federations etc., which are controlled wholly or partly by the State Government.
3. It is reiterated that in case of any lapse on the part of the companies, corporations and parastatals to process procurements at and above Rs. 5 lakh through https://wbtenders.gov.in, the controlling Department may stop releasing fund to those companies, corporations and parastatals, until the e-tender process through the State Government e-tender portal is adopted by them.
