Subject- Emergency procurement related to COVID – 19 operation.
Relaxed procurement guidelines for facilitating emergency procurements related to the treatment and prevention of COVID – 19 pandemic in our state were prescribed by Finance Department vide its Memo No. 1480-F(Y) dated 01.04.2020 read with Memo No. 1575-F(Y) dated 15.04.2020.
Validity of the memoranda ibid was extended from time to time and last such extension was granted up to 31.01.2021 vide this dept. memo no. 3351-F(Y) dated 01.12.2020.
The transmission of COVID-19 infection have not subsided as yet and the pandemic is imposing new threats.
In view of the urgency involved in the procurement of certain critical medical and other essential supplies in the wake of the present scenario caused by the pandemic, it has now been decided to extend the relaxed procurement guidelines in the line of FD Memo No. 1480-F(Y) dated 01.04.2020 read with Memo No. 1575-F(Y) dated 15.04.2020 for a period of two (2) months with effect from 01.04.2021 to 31.05.2021, or until further order, whichever is earlier.
