MEMORANDUM
Subject: Extra Duty Allowance for Darwans/ Night Guards, etc.
Consequent upon the decision taken by the Government on the recommendation of the Fifth Pay Commission relating to extra duty allowance for Darwans, Night Guards, etc., the Governor has been pleased to order in supersession of Finance Department Memo No. 9710-F(P) dated 26.10.1999 that the categories of employees like Darwans, Night Guards and those doing night duties but not entitled to weekly holidays, and whose normal duty hours exceed 40 hours a week, will get extra duty allowance at the rate of Rs. 200/- per month subject to the condition that during their absence from duty on any day there will be pro-rata reduction of the said allowance and equivalent amount will be paid to the substitute for performing the duty.
2. This order will take effect from the 1st December, 2009.
