General Holiday on account of Chhat Puja, 2019

CHHAT PUJA will be celebrated this year (2019) on 2nd November and 3rd November, which fall on Saturday and Sunday respectively. In view of this 4th November (Monday), 2019 is declared as a General Holiday in West Bengal.

NOTIFICATION

“CHHAT PUJA” will be celebrated this year (2019) on 2nd November and 3rd November, which fall on Saturday and Sunday respectively. In view of this and in continuation of this Department Notification No. 6814-F(P2) dated 05.11.2018, the Governor is pleased to declare 4th November (Monday), 2019 as a General Holiday for State Government offices, Local Bodies, Statutory Bodies, Boards, Corporations and Undertakings controlled or owned by the State Government and Educational Institutions and other offices/ institutions under the control of the Government of West Bengal with the exception of the offices of Registrar of Assurances, Kolkata, Collector of Stamp Revenue, Kolkata and West Bengal State Beverages Corporation Ltd.
