ORDER
The Water Resources Investigation & Development Department implements various Minor Irrigation Schemes under different Programmes like RIDF, Jalatirtha, Core Sector, RKVY, MGNREGA etc. through its cadre of Engineers. The work is supervised by senior Engineers and various officers of the Department. Site inspections covering different on-going schemes as well as carrying out maintenance works of State owned & operated Minor Irrigation schemes etc. is also regularly undertaken. In view of the close impact on Agriculture, the vehicles sanctioned for use by the Department are used very frequently throughout the areas under respective jurisdictions. This involves travelling in remote and interior areas of villages. Coupled with increase in cost of Fuel and Lubricants, this Department has been contemplating for some time past to review the existing order imposing a ceiling limit for per month per vehicle as follows:-

After careful consideration of the mater, the Governor has been pleased to accord sanction to the enhancement of expenditure limit for the 241 nos. of hired vehicles with concurrence of the Finance Department’s U.O. No. 0550, Group T, dt. 05.10.2015, in the following manner:-
