Revision of Scale of Pay Sub-Divn. Information & Cultural Officer

MEMORANDUM

The scale of pay of Sub-Divisional Information & Cultural Officer was revised from Scale No.12 i.e. Rs. 1500-3410/- to Scale No. 14 i.e. Rs. 5500-11325/- with effect from 1.1.96 notionally with actual benefit from 1.1.2007 vide this Deptt.’s order No. 546-ICA dt. 27.2.09.

2. Consequent upon the revision of the scale of pay of the Sub-Divisional Information & Cultural Officer, some clarifications have been sought for regarding various aspect of fixation of pay. After careful consideration, the undersigned is directed by the order of the Governor to state the followings:-

(i) The officer holding the post of Sub Divisional Information and Cultural Officer may exercise option to come under the said revised scale of pay as is allowed vide this Deptt.’ s Order No. 546-ICA dt. 27.2.09 w.e.f. any date between 1.1.96 to 1.1.97 (both days inclusive) within 30 days from the date of issue of this order.

(ii) The pay in the revised scale would be fixed on the basis of unrevised pay in the unrevised scale under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 1990.

(iii) The first higher Scale and Second higher scale of direct recruit Sub-Divisional Information & Cultural Officer for the purpose of CAS-’90/ MCAS-’01 benefit would be Scale No. 15 (Rs.6000-12000/-) and Scale No. 16 (Rs.8000-13500/-) respectively. The said scale of pay should take notional effect from 1.1.96 for CAS ’90 benefit and from 1.1.2001 for MCAS ’01 benefit with actual benefit from 1.1.2007.

(iv) The CAS/ MCAS Scales would be as were as before for promottee officers of Sub-Divisional information & Cultural Officer.

(v) The direct recruit Sub-Divisional information & Cultural Officer shall not be allowed 25 years MCAS benefit as the basis scale is No. 14 under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 1998.

This, order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Deptt. vide their U.O. No. 868/Group-P (Pay) dt. 2.4.99.
