6th Pay Commission, West Bengal was formed to examine the present pay structures, allowances, promotion policies, retiring benefits etc. of employees.
Revision of Pay and Allowance of the employees of the Panchayat Raj Institution of this State following West Bengal Service (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019.
West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019 published vide Finance Department Memo No. 5562-F dated 25.09.2019, No. 5563-F dated 25.09.2019, No. 5564-F dated 25.09.2019.
Non-teaching employees of all State-aided Universities; Employees of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education; Employees of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education; Employees of West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education; Employees of West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling.
Revised Pay for Teachers and certain equivalent cadres (Teaching Posts) of State-aided Universities and Govt. and Government-aided Colleges, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Inspector of Colleges and Finance Officer of State-aided Universities.
Revision of Pay and Allowances for the (i) Non-teaching employees of state aided Non. Govt. Colleges including erstwhile sponsored colleges and Day students’ Homes employees. (ii) Employees of the West Bengal College Service Commission.
Governor has been pleased to direct that the date of effect of the revised pay structure, the manner of fixation of pay in the revised pay structure and other conditions of service of the employees under School Education Department.
Consequent upon promulgation of the West Bengal Services (Revision of Pay and Allowance) Rules, 2019 certain points have been raised from different corners regarding various aspects of fixation of pay.

Revision of pay for Faculties including Principals and Librarians of a) Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, b) Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata, c) Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata, d) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampur, e) Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampur, f) Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, g) Kalyani Government Engineering College h) Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College, Purulia.
Governor has been pleased to decide that the State Government employees shall draw Dearness Allowance @ 6% of basic pay w.e.f. 01/03/2023.
