Where the serving employees of aided/ sponsored educational institutions are in receipt of Medical Allowance of Rs. 500/- per month w.e.f. 01.01.2020, their retired counterparts (pensioners/ family pensioners) are also entitled to the same.
The existing maximum limit at the enhanced rate of Rs. 12,747/- per month introduced with effect from 01.04.2008 be raised to Rs. 32,760/- only per month.
The last date for submission of option for additional commutation is 31.12.2020 i.e. 1 (one) year from the actual date of effect of WBS ROPA, 2019. The Pensioner shall be entitled to commute upto 40% of the revised pension.
