Government would pay the farmers’ premium for crop insurance. Only for the commercial crops of potato and sugarcane farmers have to bear a part of the premium – maximum of 4.85%.

Bangla Fasal Bima Yojana – Extended upto January, 2019

The primary objective of the scheme is to provide facilities of enrolment for crop insurance to left out non-loanee farmers who could not enroll themselves on voluntary basis.
