Previously, the Govt. employees were eligible 10/20 years of Career Advancement Scheme. As per modified CAS scheme 8/16/25 years benefit is provided.
Governor is pleased to direct that the teachers and librarians of Government-aided Colleges in West Bengal shall be guided by the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
Governor has already been pleased to create 22 numbers of additional posts of Superintending Engineers belonging to the Engineering Cadre under the administrative control of this Department.
He/ She shall be serving as on regular basis in approved and /or substantial post and /or regular in nature in any of the aforementioned institutions continuously and satisfactorily prior to such movement to State Aided University.
In such cases the overdrawal for the period from 01-01-2008 to 31-03-2008 shall be recovered with reference to unrevised pay drawn prior to 01-04-2008 as in the said period pay under W.B.S. (ROPA) Rules, 2009 is notional.
Governor is pleased to direct that the teachers, librarians and other academic staff of State-aided Universities shall be guided by the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
Governor has already been pleased to create 21 numbers additional posts of Senior Superintending Engineers and also to convert existing 41numbers of non-functional berth of Superintending Engineer [Selection Grade] into the post of Senior Superintending Engineers.
Applicability of the terms and conditions towards Redesignation & Career Advancement Scheme for the teachers, librarians, physical instructors of the Government Colleges in West Bengal.
Movement to third higher scale of pay after completion of twenty five years of service under MCAS as now available to the employees first appointed in pre-revised scale nos. 1 to 12.
The 10/20 years service for CAS-90 and 8/16/25 years service for MCAS-01 should be counted from the date of initial appointment as Pharmacist Grade III as the said revision of scale(s) is not upgradation but substitution of scale(s).
It has been brought to the notice of the Government that pay anomaly arises between senior and junior employees who entered into Govt. service in Level 16 and above.
