Dearness Relief
State Government Pensioners/ Family Pensioners shall draw Dearness Relief at a certain rate of basic pension/ basic family pension which is fixed by the State Government time to time.
The whole time State Government employees shall draw Dearness Allowance @ 18% of basic pay with effect from 01/04/2025.
Grant of Dearness Allowance to State Government Employees and the employees of Government aided Educational Institutions, employees of Statutory Bodies, Government Undertakings, Panchayats including Panchayat Karmee, Municipal Corporations/ Municipalities, Local Bodies etc. and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners.
Governor has been pleased to decide that the State Government employees shall draw Dearness Allowance @ 6% of basic pay w.e.f. 01/03/2023.
Governor has been pleased to decide that enhancement of rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief in respect of the employees and Pensioners/ Family Pensioners shall be effective from 01/04/2024 instead of 01/05/2024.
State Government Employees drawing pay more than Rs. 2,01,000/- only will also get Dearness Allowance @ 3% of revised basic pay and the pensioners still drawing pre-revised pension will get Dearness Relief @ 133% with effect from 01.01.2021.
State Government Pensioners/ Family Pensioners shall draw Dearness Relief @100% of basic pension with effect from 01.01.2018 onwards.
Grant of Dearness Relief @100% on Basic Pension/ Basic Family Pension to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of State-aided Non-Govt. Colleges w.e.f. 01.01.2018.
Grant of Dearness Allowance to the employees of State-aided Non-Government Colleges and also Dearness Relief to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of State-aided Non-Government Colleges of West Bengal with effect from 01.03.2023.
Grant of Dearness Relief @85% on Basic Pension/ Basic Family Pension to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of State-aided Non-Govt. Colleges with effect from 01.01.2017.
Grant of Dearness Relief to the Teaching and Non-Teaching Pensioners of the State-Aided Universities in West Bengal w.e.f. January 01, 2018.
