A commercial vehicle registered in the State of West Bengal may be produced before any RA within the State for fitness checking and will be issued Certificate of Fitness by the said RA.

Governor has been pleased to decide that intending vehicle manufacturers having their workshops with prescribed facilities will be encouraged to set up testing stations.

Chief Mechanical Engineer of the State Transport Undertakings will renew the Certificate of Fitness for the vehicles owned by respective organisation.
