Governor is pleased to declare 20th September (Thursday), 2018 as a Sectional Holiday on occasion of KARAM PUJA for the employees belonging to Tribal Communities.
All offices under the Government of West Bengal will be closed at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, the 1st day of July, 2014 on account of the Birth Day of Late Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Ex-Chief Minister of West Bengal.
You are requested to pass necessary instructions so that schools will re-open after Puja holidays on 27th October, 2014. The matter has been discussed with Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge.
In view of the Parliamentary Election-2014 to be held on 17th, 24th, 30th April 2014, 7th & 12th May, 2014 in the different Parliamentary Constituencies and simultaneous Bye-election to 6 (six) Assembly Constituencies in this State, the Government has declared the said days as public holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
DPSC is hereby pleased to declare that Friday, the 9th March, 2012 as a holiday in addition with Thursday, the 8th March, 2012 in the event of Dolyatra.
In order to enable the employees to observe the auspicious occasion and to pay obeisance to the Lord while at home, it has been decided that all Offices shall remain closed on 23rd June 2020.
