West Bengal Government Notification related to Government Holidays, Public Holidays, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act (N.I. Act) etc.
Governor is pleased to declare the following days as Public Holidays under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
Model Holiday List for 2022 Academic Session to the Heads of all Recognised Schools (Govt./ Govt. Sponsored/ Non-Govt.-Aided/ D.A. getting/ Unaided) under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the High Madrasah, Alim and Fazil Examinations of the Board has been scheduled to be held in the month of June, 2021 in lieu of the month of February. Considering the above changes the list of holidays for the academic session 2021 needs to be adjusted accordingly.
Holiday List of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education for the year 2017 which is applicable for all recognized secondary schools in West Bengal.
Heads of all recognized Madrasah are being informed that for the current academic session 2014, the Madrasahs shall have to observe a uniform list of holidays as per Model list of holidays attached herewith. The maximum numbers of holidays for this academic session will be 65 days.
Governor is pleased to declare that all Saturdays shall be public holidays in respect of all bank branches working in the State of West Bengal, in addition to the existing holidays on 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
List of Public Holidays for the year 2012 i.e. 1st January, 2012 to 31st December, 2012 for the Department of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Total number of holidays in this year is 65 days.
Governor has been pleased to direct the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board to conduct the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (Medical), 2016.
Madrasahs shall have to observe a uniform list of holidays for the year 2017. The maximum numbers of holidays for this academic session will be 65 days.
The number of Holidays and Vacation days in an academic year in Secondary Schools should not exceed 65 days instead of 80 days excluding Sundays, decided in EC meeting.
