Uniform list of maximum number of holidays to be observed in the academic session-2019 (01 January, 2019 to 31 December, 2019). The maximum numbers of holidays for this academic session will be 65 days.
The President of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is pleased to declare that the Council will observe the following holidays during the year, 2019.

It is gathered that Chhat Puja will be celebrated this year on 13th & 14th November, 2018. The State Government has already declared holiday on 13th November, 2018.
21st November, 2018, Wednesday will be treated as a Holiday on account of Fateha-Dwaz-Dahm (Milad-un-Nabi) in place of 19th December, 2018, Wednesday.

On occasion of VISWAKARMA PUJA which falls on 17th September (Monday), 2018, the Governor has been pleased to declare that all State Government offices shall be closed at 2:00 P.M on that day.
Governor is pleased to declare 20th September (Thursday), 2018 as a Sectional Holiday on occasion of KARAM PUJA for the employees belonging to Tribal Communities.
