Library

A library is a collection of books, magazines, and other informational resources organized for reading, study, and research. Libraries can be physical or digital, and they serve as public or private institutions promoting learning, education, and information access.

West Bengal Sponsored Public Library Management Rules, 2005

Member means the Member of a sponsored public library and includes a Neo-literate Member, a Physically Handicapped Member and an Institutional Member of any District Library.

West Bengal Public Libraries Act, 1979

An Act to provide for the establishment of public libraries in the State of West Bengal and to regulate, guide [control and supervise the libraries] as also to provide for a comprehensive rural and urban [library and information service] in the State of West Bengal.
