Lockdown
Due to COVID-19 pandemic a number of non-pharmaceutical interventions know as lockdowns i.e. stay at home orders, curfews, quarantines, social distancing etc. have been implemented in numerous countries and territories around the world.
Marriage related functions shall be allowed with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50% seating capacity of the hall/ venue, whichever is lower.
During this period priority shall be processing of the urgent bills related to essential services like Health, Fire and emergency, Police, Civil Defence, Bills related to Salary, Wages, Pension, Social Assistance Schemes, Scholarships, payment of agencies providing Security/ Housekeeping/ Conservancy/ Man power supply, etc.
Any hawker who is a permanent resident of West Bengal, who is in extreme distress due to loss of business/ livelihood opportunities due to outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) will be eligible for the assistance.
After a review of the current situation of COVID pandemic and the concerns due to newly detected coronavirus variant omicron, the existing restrictions and protocols will be continued.
Gym may remain open with 50% of the capacity at a time upto 9 PM provided staff and users are fully vaccinated or are RTPCR negative.
Restrictions relating to movement of people and vehicles between 11 PM to 5 AM shall continue to be in force but shall be relaxed for Christmas and New Year celebrations during 24th December 2021 to 1st January 2022.
Schools shall open for class VIII to XII from 3rd February 2022. All government offices including public undertakings shall function with 75% of total employee strength.

Intra-state (inter-district) movement of government and private buses w.e.f. 01/06/2020, with passengers not more than the actual seating capacity of the bus. No passenger shall be allowed to travel standing in the bus.
