Governor is pleased to direct 10% of the existing vacant posts shall be filled up by the para-teachers serving at present in various Primary Schools in the State.

Empanelled candidates for recruitment of primary teachers in West Bengal, may receive personally their appointment letters from the office of the concerned District Primary School Council within 3 (three) days of their selection on production of a valid photo identity proof.
Directly fill up maximum of 3000 vacancies of Group ‘D’ on contract basis in different departments on consolidated contractual remuneration as per the provisions in Memo. No. 9008-F(P) dt. 16.09.2011.
The West Bengal Group – D Recruitment Board shall be responsible for selecting and recommending candidates for direct recruitment to group D posts via a transparent mechanism.
Typist, Clerk-cum-Typist, Typist-cum-Clerk, Typist Clerk, Clerk-Typist as the nomenclature may be, including their promotional cadre/ post of Typist declared as dying cadre.
An eligible non-teaching staff in Group C and Group D category, belonging to a distressed family, shall be entitled to receive cash assistance of Rs. 25,000/- per month and Rs. 20,000/- per month, respectively, as livelihood support, due to sudden unemployment w.e.f. 1st April, 2025.
