Samajik Suraksha Yojana is a social security scheme launched by the Indian government to provide financial support to vulnerable groups. It focuses on offering benefits like pensions, insurance, and healthcare to improve citizens’ well-being.
The State Government henceforth will pay the contribution of beneficiary amounting to Rs. 25/- along with matching grant of Rs. 30/- against such beneficiary’s contribution, totalling Rs. 55/- per beneficiary per month.
These rules may be called the Samajik Suraksha Yojana (Rules and Regulations), 2017, in short, SSY (R&R), 2017. They shall come into force with effect from 1st April, 2017.
