Summer Vacation
Due to extreme heat wave in the month of May and June in West Bengal, Government declare Summer Vacation in all schools considering the situation.
All Schools with the exception of those in hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts, are hereby closed due to prevailing heat wave situation with effect from 17th April, 2023 for one week.
Take necessary action for the implementation of Summer Projects in all schools of your district as per the enclosed Summer Project Guidelines and suggestive Summer Project Topics.
Summer vacation has been rescheduled and will start from 2nd May, 2014 and will end on 31st May, 2014 because of prevailing heat wave across the State.
Summer Vacation is declared in schools due to heat wave and prevailing situation on and from 2nd May, 2023 until further instructions except for the schools in hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
Due to heat wave and prevailing situation summer vacation shall begin in all schools on and from 20.04.2021 until further order.
Due to predicted severe cyclonic storm Foni likely to hit coastal areas of West Bengal and extreme hot weather conditions prevailing in the State, classes will remain suspended in all Govt., Govt. Sponsored and Non-Govt. aided schools from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019.
Declare Summer Vacation in the Madrasah under the control of West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education with effect from 02 May, 2022, Monday till 15 June, 2022, Wednesday.
In view of the present heat wave prevailing over almost the entire State it has been decided to further extend the summer vacation till 17.06.2012.
The competent authority has decided to extend the summer vacation till 26th June, 2022 or until further instructions whichever is earlier except for the schools in hilly areas of the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
Govt./ Govt. aided/ sponsored schools will re-open after summer vacation, with effect from 27/06/2022 maintaining all COVID norms and protocols.
