West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has decided to postpone the Class XI Practical Examination (Annual) except for the schools located in the hilly areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
Summer Vacation is declared in schools due to heat wave and prevailing situation on and from 2nd May, 2023 until further instructions except for the schools in hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.
All Schools with the exception of those in hill areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts, are hereby closed due to prevailing heat wave situation with effect from 17th April, 2023 for one week.
Due to predicted severe cyclonic storm Foni likely to hit coastal areas of West Bengal and extreme hot weather conditions prevailing in the State, classes will remain suspended in all Govt., Govt. Sponsored and Non-Govt. aided schools from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019.
I am directed to inform all concern that the Recognised Madrasahs (Government Model Madrasahs (English Medium), Non-Government Aided Madrasahs and Un-aided Madrasahs) will remain closed from 02/05/2023 until further instruction.
All the Government, Government Sponsored and non -Government Aided School Authorities under Kolkata Municipal Corporation Area are requested to run the schools in the morning session, if feasible, till closure of schools on account of summer vacation.
Because of the prevailing heat wave it has been decided to approve the proposals of the Boards to reschedule the summer vacation which will now start from 2nd May, 2014 and end on 31st May, 2014.
Summer Vacation in Madrasah is shifted to 2nd May, 2014 to 24th May, 2014 due to extreme hot weather instead of from 22nd May, 2014 to 8th June, 2014. Total number of holidays for this academic year must not exceed 65 days.
