One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools is that he/ she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
Teaching and Non-teaching staff of secondary schools who would be actually utilised on being appointed by the WBBPE for conducting TET upto 31.3.2013 would be allowed On Duty for the period spent for the purpose of conducting TET.
TET Candidates who have already deposited Examination fees of Rs. 100/- are required to Register from 15.06.2015 to 22.06.2015. Printing of Admit Cards from 24.06.2015 to 01.07.2015.
The unsuccessful candidates of TET 2012 are to produce their original Admit Cards of TET 2012 and the downloaded Acknowledgement Receipts/ Slips at the entrance of Examination Centres/Venues.

TET qualified candidates are required to produce these documents in original alongwith 2 sets of photocopies (self-attested) at the time of scrutiny/verification.
West Bengal Board of Primary Education will not supply Photocopies of OMR-Sheets/ Digitized Data of OMR-sheets, relating to Teacher Eligibility Test, 2012, w.e.f. 01.05.2016.

West Bengal Board of Primary Education will be compelled to take appropriate action against the culprits, if such type of blackmailing efforts is repeated in future.
Appointment already made on different dates will abide by the result of Writ Petition no. 24882(W) of 2016 pending before the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
Persons enrolled in NCTE/RCI Recognized Institutions and pursuing Elementary Teacher Training Courses may apply for TET on and from 15/11/2017 to 30/11/2017.
