West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training is a statutory body for administration and examining Vocational courses in West Bengal.
The vocation subjects being offered by the Council at present are Health Care, Automobile, Organised Retailing, Security, IT & ITES, Electronics, Tourism & Hospitality, Plumbing, Construction, Apparel, Beauty & Wellness, Agriculture and Power.

An Act to provide for the establishment of single State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development by amalgamating two Councils, namely, the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education and the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training in order to establish an integrated, appropriate and unified framework to enable appropriate competencies in the skilling of manpower of the State in terms of different trades or skills, and to take steps to strengthen skill development initiatives in a co-ordinated manner and to provide for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Theoretical Examination of Vocational Subjects (Automobile/ IT & ITES/ Security/ Organized Retailing), conducted by WBCHSE will be held on 23.02.2016 (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.).

Submit filled in registration forms including the vocational subject (as an optional elective) for the student concerned. Students can’t opt Physical Education/ Music/ Visual Arts.

WBMDFC in collaboration with KOLKATA POLICE is going to launch Vocational Training Programme at the “KIRAN” centres located at different Police Stations in Kolkata for candidates belonging to Minority Communities in order to improve their employability or self-employment.

4 (four) more optional elective subjects under NVEQF programme with existing 33 (thirty three) recommended for inclusion from class-IX in 2013 academic session.

Bank Draft in favour of West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training (Gen) payable at Kolkata will have to be submitted to Nodal Centre within 22-08-2012.
