NOTIFICATION
Attention to all HOIs
This is for general information to the Heads of all Institutions under the purview of the Council that the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has initiated the Swachh Evam Harit Vidyalaya Rating (SHVR) 2026-27 cycle to encourage schools to adopt and sustain best practices in hygiene, sanitation, and environmental sustainability, and to bring about behavioral change.
Please note the following important details regarding the initiative:
- The SHVR 2026-27 cycle has commenced w.e.f. 1st August 2026.
- The last date for registration is 30th September, 2026.
- Institutions can participate via the web portal (shvr.education.gov.in) or the mobile app by signing up with their UDISE+ code.
- The process requires schools to fill out and submit a self-assessment form to receive a Star-Rating and recognition.

All Heads of Institutions are earnestly requested to ensure the widest possible participation of their respective schools in the SHVR 2026-27 cycle before the stipulated deadline.
