NOTIFICATION
The question of constitution of a Task Force to deal with various aspects relating to the identification of the specific locations where Taxi Stands within the jurisdiction of Kolkata Municipal Corporation is to be earmarked has been under consideration of the Government for sometime past. Now, after careful consideration of the matter it has been decided to constitute a Task Force to examine the matter in detail and make necessary recommendations to the appropriate authorities in this regard. The authorities concerned, on receipt of the recommendations from the Committee and after due scrutiny of the same, will notify the specific locations of such Taxi Stands in such manner as may be deemed proper and appropriate for general information of the public.
The composition of the Task Force will be as follows:

(1) Commissioner of Police, Kolkata – Chairman
(2) Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation – Member Convener
(3) Director, Public Vehicles Department, Kolkata – Member
The Task Force will devise the modalities of its functioning.
The Task Force shall finalise its recommendations within one (1) month from the date of issue of this Notification. This comes into force with immediate effect.
